|Dr. Geoffrey Herzog is a native of Idaho. Born in Pocatello, he attended Century High School where he excelled in both the classroom and in athletics. He received a Bachelors' of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Idaho in 2007. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2011. He followed up his education by earning a Certificate of Advanced Education in General Dentistry in 2012 at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. Dr. Herzog received distinguished awards during his college career including the 2011 Baylor College of Dentistry Resident Scholarship Award for Outstanding Performance as well as the 2011 Lux Scholarship Award for Outstanding Leadership and Excellence.
To further enhance his dental education, Dr. Herzog has completed hundreds of hours of continuing education in the specialty areas of implant dentistry, endodontics, sports dentistry and orthodontics. He is currently a provider for Clear Correct Orthodontics and has received a certificate from the American Orthodontic Society for Straight Wire Orthodontics. He is a member of the Idaho State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Academy of Sports Dentistry, and the American Orthodontic Society. He currently serves as the President Elect for the Southwest Idaho Dental Society. In 2017, Dr. Herzog received the distinguished Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry, at a national convention in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Herzog loves to be involved in the community and volunteer his time and abilities. He supports several local societies, organizations and youth sports teams. Every few years he guides a team on a dental mission trip, where he provides dental work for people in foreign countries who do not have access to care. His most recent trip was to a very small village in Belize.
Dr. Herzog is committed to providing gentle, quality care to his patients while integrating the latest technology and procedures. After practicing in Austin, Texas for three years, he is excited to be back in Idaho. In his spare time Dr. Herzog is an avid fly fisherman, golfer, skier and sports fan. He loves being involved with his local community and looks forward to building new relationships with the great people of the Treasure Valley.
|Dr. Kristine Ali's career in dentistry began as a chairside dental assistant. Under the mentorship of her dentist in Great Falls, Montana, she became interested in learning more. She loved working with patients and decided she wanted to become a dentist! She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Carroll College in Helena, Montana and was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2008 from the Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry in Portland, Oregon. After several years in private practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Dr. Ali is excited to call Boise home and join the fabulous Water’s Edge Dental team!
Each year Dr. Ali attends extensive postdoctoral studies in advanced dentistry with a special focus on restorative dentistry. She provides some of the latest advances in dental technology and combines advanced clinical dentistry with "down-to-earth" care and communication that will make you feel right at home.
Dr. Ali is a proud member of the American Dental Association, the Idaho State Dental Association, and the Southwest Idaho Dental Society. Dr. Ali helped the Villa Therese Catholic Clinic in Santa Fe begin the Women and Children's Dental Clinic which provides free dental care to uninsured mothers, pregnant women, and children. She also was a volunteer dentist and donor at various Mission of Mercy events. In New Mexico, she served on the board of, and is past president of the Santa Fe District Dental Society.
Her husband, Dr. Cyrus Ali, is a general surgeon and they have three wonderful little ones. In their free time, the Alis enjoy hiking, cooking, and exploring the Treasure Valley.
